iPad Accessories

Have you tried a stylus for your iPad?  If so, please comment below and let us know the name, price, and what you think about it.
Also, don't forget that we have adapters available so you can show what's on your ipad through your projector.  Stop by the tech office to pick one up.  We also have camera connectors if you ever need to transfer pictures or video to your iPad

  1. I got PogoSketch by TenOne for Mothers Day. I don't know how much it costs but I like it because it helps to reduce the fingerprints on my screen. Since I didn't start off typing with a stylus my typing speed is slightly slower but it will improve with time, I'm sure. This stylus is supposed to be good for drawing/sketching but I haven't tried it out yet. It does work well with free writing and feels more natural than writing with my fingertip.

  2. Oops. I put this up in the wrong post earlier.

I talked with Amy, and she suggested I post these. I've tried a couple of stylus (styli?) instead of relying on my finger. While the generic one I got from Target is ok (it's a Targus), it's a bit too skinny for my taste. My hand gets tired from holding it. So, I got an Alupen instead. It's chunkier. I love it! It comes in different colors and runs around $16-25 on Amazon. For those of you using Brushes on ipad that want something more like a brush with which to "paint," I've read great reviews on the Nomad Brush. It runs around $24. I haven't seen it around to test drive it. Let me know if any of you try it out. --Elisa

  3. I got a Roocase stylus from Amazon.com on sale for $9. I like it a lot -- seems to work well and has a plug that goes into the headphone jack to keep it tethered to the iPad.

  4. I have a Targus stylus and coupled with Sketchbook Express, or Underscore Notify (note-taking app) make an awesome experience. See my reviews in the app review doc.

  6. I got a Rocketfish stylus from Bestbuy for $16. I like using it, but its never handy so I have found that I don't use it much. Its easier to use my finger than find the stylus. After I bought mine I got one for my wife. In doing some research I discovered the cheap ones (I saw 3 packs for $9.99) should be avoided because the screen contact does not work as well.

  7. I got the AYL Slim Capacitive from Amazon. I think I paid 12.95 for it. Seems to work well. I went for a medium price range since I had heard some negative comments about the cheaper ones.

  8. Actually just had some of my students compare their stylus to mine, and mine is FAR better - "not as squishy and easier to write with, doesn't drag."

  9. Here's a nice review of various styli out there, along with a short video of a soon-to-be-coming-out stylus:

  10. I have drawn with a PogoStick and like it, although I do not have experience with enough others for a good comparison. I like the one you guys have in your office and would like to order it whenever you have enough interested people.
